Faculty Position – Professor/Associate Professor IIHMR Bangalore invites applications for the following positions:
IIHMR Bangalore is a premier institute for hospital and health management education, research, and training. We offer a two-year full-time AICTE, NBA, and AlU-accredited PGDM programme with specialisations in Hospital Management, Health Management, Health Information Technology (HIT), and Pharmaceutical Management.
Faculty Position for Hospital / Health / Health It Management:
Qualification as per AICTE norms: MBBS/MD (Hospital Administration Community Medicine), MBBS/MHA/MBA in Hospital Administration, MPH, and B.E./B.Tech./PhD in Health Informatics with experience in the healthcare industry. A PhD in a related area is mandatory.
Positions PROFESSOR
Candidate with minimum 10-12 years of Teaching, Training, Research and Consulting experience in desirable in relevant areas.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Candidate with minimum 5-7 years of Teaching, Training, Research and Consulting experience in desirable in relevant areas.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
A candidate with a minimum of 1-4 years of teaching, training, research, and consulting experience is desirable in relevant areas.
The role of the faculty in IIHMR institutes is crucial. They play an important role in institution building, creating an image, and nurturing young professionals.
Following are the critical roles/responsibilities of the faculty:
Working with the PI and Co-PI for study tool preparation
Data collection and interaction with the stakeholder
Anchoring the documentation regarding the project
Liaison with the stakeholders and contribution to consultative meetings
Assist in data analysis and report writing
Transcription and transcription of the data
Research Conceptualise, plan, design, and conduct research in health systems management and services
Write proposals for grants, implement research projects, supervise data collection, analysis, and prepare a report
Dissemination of research findings, research projects based on individual interest/subject expertise
Network with the donor agencies, health, and other related departments
Teaching Teaching courses is a critical responsibility of the faculty. The faculty is assigned courses. They plan, design pedagogy, develop course material, teach, and evaluate students
Mentoring students in STP and dissertation. A joint publication with a student (research articles/case studies) is highly desirable
Design and development elective courses that address the needs of the current health sector scenario
Training Identify the need for in-house training at various organisations, develop a team, and organise the training under the guidance of the Director
Offer both in-house and open-house training programmes in the areas related to elective courses, management, research, hospitals, etc.
Plan and conduct Management Development Programmes (MDPs) during the year in consultation with the Director and also in facilitating marketing activities like identifying the target group, designing the brochure, publicising in your network groups, involving academic administration like preparation of course material, scheduling the programme, identifying and inviting the resource persons, fixing their honorarium, etc.

Individual Consultancy (Organisation development, Market research, data analytics, strategy & implementations)
Institutional Development Faculty participates in institutional activities as a part of decentralised management and delegation of responsibilities, like admission, placement, networking, administration, conferences, seminars, accreditation, quality improvement programmes etc.
Publications Standard scientific journals, paper presentations, magazines, and other media
