**Job Description:**

Accenture Federal Services has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to work in a dynamic environment supporting critical mission applications, leveraging cutting edge technology. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements, as a member of a highly motivated project team.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

+ Debug existing software and correct defects

+ Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

+ Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

+ Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

+ Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

+ Write or review software and system documentation

+ Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries

+ Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards

+ Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

+ Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas

+ Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance

+ Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design

**Here's what you need:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline OR in lieu of degree four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

**Security Clearance:**

+ An active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required to start

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of **California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia** . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$67,900—$126,800 USD
