Responsibilities

Diagnose complex, non-standard problems, often referred from others.

Propose solutions, coordinating services and repairs with vendors as appropriate. Serve as a resource to junior technical support staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment.

Perform skilled maintenance and extensive repairs on the most complex parts and equipment. Confer with vendors to address the most complex and/or warranty-eligible problems.

Provide technical support to faculty, administrators and students, providing orientations, training and problem resolution.

Assist with training, assign, and review work of student and/or casual employees and assist with training other technical support staff.

May serve as team leader to junior technical support staff. Set up and configure PCs and/or local area networks, ensuring that the configuration and equipment will meet ITS requirements and user needs.

Respond to general IT inquiries, and provide problems resolution to increasingly more complex problems. Coordinate services and repairs with vendors.

Qualifications Experience With MS Windows, Mac, Network Printing, iOS, Android, AV Equipment (Projectors, LCD Screens, Zoom Carts and Crestron)

5+ years of related experience. Experience providing customer support in an IT environment, setting up and running diagnostics and troubleshooting and resolving an array of system problems.

***Preferred Experience -Zoom, Google Apps, Asana, Canva, Salesforce, higher education applications. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough understanding of networks and computing environments, AV equipment, standards, configurations, and IT infrastructures, which has been augmented by a significant amount of experience or specialized training. Proven ability to resolve many unusual or non-standard problems.
