Senior Network Engineer

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Network Engineer to assist with data center design, deployment, and documentation at their Rancho Bernardo, CA location.
Essential Functions:
Develop engineering and automated deployments for datacenter system configurations.
Executing engineering projects on schedule.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and redline documented procedures.
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Responsible for integrating and testing software and/or hardware systems in complex IT systems.
Work closely with Engineers and Technicians in a lab environment.
Good planning, coordination, and documentation skills are required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
Experience in or knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python
Experience with deploying, configuring, and hardening Network Devices
Working knowledge of routing & switching concepts and protocols
Familiarity with network simulation tools and load testing (e.g. CML, GNS3)
Active DoD TS Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
Familiar with Spine and Leaf architecture
Familiar with government grade encryption gear such as TACLANES
Familiar with Agile methodology
Familiar with version control, GIT experience preferred
Ability to author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update documentation
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
