Responsibilities
Coach, mentor and grow the data platform team
Collaborate closely with data scientists, cross functional teams and stakeholders to support their data needsHelp develop the long term roadmap and vision of our data infrastructure to meet future needs
Ensure efficiency and reliability of our large scale data processing infrastructure
Optimize and grow data infrastructure to meet increasing demand for data driven use cases
Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing and growing high performing teams of 5+ members
5+ years of hands-on technical leadership in designing and building highly scalable cloud data infrastructure systems for batch and/or stream processing
Familiarity in Python/Java/C++, SQL
3+ years of experience using modern compute, data infrastructure and visualization tools, and services such as Kafka, Airflow, AWS S3, AWS EC2, DBT, Kubernetes, Terraform, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Looker
Strong written and verbal communication skills to work cross functionally with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, and various stakeholdersProven track record of delivering impactful projects through collaboration across teams and organization

Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $239,000 to $300,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Zoox also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (e.g. sick leave, vacation, bereavement), unpaid time off, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, Amazon RSUs, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
