Responsibilities
Ensure sales operations comply with federal, state, and local laws
Draft, or review and revise, training materials, contracts, scripts, performance evaluations
Inform client agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements
Identify and assess legal risks, advising management on strategies to mitigate
Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation
Work with external counsel as necessary or respond to litigation
Provide legal advice to various departments within the company, including sales, marketing, HR, and finance
Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and regulatory compliance topics
Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks and conflicts
Keep management informed of corrective action
Qualifications
J.D. qualified to practice law
3+ years legal work experience
Good standing with CA state bar
Strong understanding of SEC/FTC rules and regulations
