The IT Administrator oversees the management, deployment, and maintenance of various computer systems, applications, and servers within the organization. This includes setting up, deploying, and maintaining the network infrastructure in collaboration with the global IT Network Team. Additionally, getting to handle any related special projects as they arise, assist end users through Jira support tickets, and provide training on common fixes and issues. Your responsibilities will extend to managing user permissions and accounts across Microsoft Suite, and you may also be tasked with training new IT staff on the team's systems and processes. Ensuring software updates, patches, and troubleshooting technical issues are managed effectively will be part of your daily routine. Moreover, you will offer insights and feedback on software updates, IT policies, and upgrades when necessary. During infrastructure emergencies, you will serve as the primary resource, requiring strong prioritization and escalation skills to ensure timely resolution. Your decisions and actions will impact all users across the district. You will identify, research, and resolve problems using your experience and judgment, documenting and tracking issues using database management software to contribute to statistical analysis and solution development. Your role will involve interaction with various teams and departments, and you will develop procedures and solutions for other technical teams as needed. You will also work with PC network software to configure, test, diagnose, and correct network anomalies, while providing training to staff on various computer platforms, components, and software.

Are You Looking to:

Maintains Help Desk tracking system; inputs problem description in Help Desk tracking system and assists with maintenance?

Works closely with network administration to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, maintain network configuration for users and their components/cabling, maintain user accounts and reboots servers and routers?

Assists staff with the operation of application software, including Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and communication software, web applications and anti-virus?

Attends and participates in departmental meetings and committees to discuss IT-related issues, and contributes to departmental projects?

Works with the global IT Team and external service contractors as needed to research and recommend hardware and software purchases, obtain quotes for repair costs and maintenance, and source product information?

Performs European server maintenance during US working hours if necessary?

Are You Ready to: Performs hardware setup and installation of applications for new and existing personnel, server and network systems.

Performs network setups, maintenance tasks and changes.

Performs general IT support including cellular and office phone systems.

Provides technical telephone support for our North American operations for internal end users on a variety of hardware and software problems including operating system support, application support, system access problems and database support.

Works with the ticket system and solves end users' problems remotely.

Serves as IT contact person for the hotline in case of IT issues, like network problems or server problems.

What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in IT or related subject.

5 years of experience in a similar role or a combination of knowledge and experience.

Experience with the setup, maintenance and changes of complex TCP/IP Networks, Firewalls, Routers, Gateways.

Office / Office365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Windows installation / configuration.

Hands-on mentality.

Hardware / Software knowledge (Lenovo / HP / Dell).

Experience working with Jira Service Management.

Ability to travel 10-20% of the time, including both national and international travel.

German Speaking is a plus.

Knowledge of using ERP Software, Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco CCNA/CCNO, and NERC-CIP is a plus.
