Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of technology professionals working closely with business partners to identify, design, and deliver technology solutions. This position requires technical acumen, functional expertise, critical thinking, and ability to manage third-party solution providers. This dynamic position includes the entire spectrum of technology delivery, including projects, enhancements, defects, production support, technical design, and consulting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable for the development and delivery of technical solutions and systems that are cloud based, high performance compute enabled and fault tolerant by design:
Estimates for either project, service requests, and defect work effort
Developing technical specifications
Developing high level and detailed technical designs
Developing high level and detailed technical designs
Adherence to coding standards and guidelines
Adherence to change management and release management requirements
Integration of vendor technology
Detailed development and unit testing schedule
Test and production environment readiness
Model office and production deployments
Production turnover documents
Provides subject matter expertise on
Actuarial systems, including MG-ALFA, MG-Triton, PolySystems
Print solutions software (Solimar) and workload automation tool (Stonebranch)
Assists troubleshooting with Actuarial models environments
Ensures technical design(s) integrate with platform architecture
Design, develop and deploy interfaces for cloud applications
Collaborates with architecture and security teams to ensure code/integrations meet Nassau standards
Works with onshore and offshore technology partners
Responsible for operational readiness for projects
Responsible for executing unit testing and supporting system/user testing
Participate in teams on call rotation responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities College degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
Technology experience required:
VB.Net, Python, PowerShell, SQL Server, XML, JavaScript, CSS

Actuarial: MG-ALFA, MG-Triton, PolySystems, Actuarial Model development and support
Additional Technical experience beneficial: AWS, JCL, SSIS
Proficiency in Microsoft office products
Requires in-depth knowledge of latest strategic technologies, including AWS cloud and data services (EC2, S3, Lamda, EBS, SNS, SMS, DynamoDB, etc.) to develop, deploy and rewrite applications
Familiar with IT security standards, protocols, and technologies
Effective communication skills
Ability to easily pickup new skills and willingness to roll up the sleeves to face new challenges
Analytical skills including problem solving, work estimates, planning resource requirements
Knowledge of compliance requirements
Familiar with applications, infrastructure, and underlying business processes used to support specific business areas for projects
Experience integrating and implementing complex technical solutions
Ability to provide project direction to employees, contractors, and software vendors

The compensation for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band E: $100,000-$120,000.
