OVERVIEW:

The Senior Auditor will play a crucial role in conducting audits, reviews, and other assurance services for clients in various industries. This role performs audit planning under direct supervision and may be assigned audit in-charge responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:

* Lead and execute audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, testing, and reporting, to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant auditing standards.

* Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior auditors during engagements, ensuring their professional growth and maintaining the quality and efficiency of the audit process.

* Review and analyze financial statements, transactional records, and supporting documentation to identify potential risks, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

* Assess internal controls and identify potential weaknesses, recommending practical solutions to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency for our clients.

* Interact with clients to discuss audit findings, present recommendations, and address any inquiries, maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.

* Stay up-to-date with accounting and auditing standards, industry regulations, and best practices, ensuring that audits are conducted in accordance with current requirements.

* Uphold the firm's standards of quality, accuracy, and integrity in all audit engagements, ensuring work papers, reports, and documentation are thoroughly reviewed and meet professional standards.

* Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the auditing process, suggesting improvements to existing procedures and methodologies.

* Assist in special projects, including due diligence reviews, financial advisory services, and other client-specific assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

* Bilingual Japanese and English language skills (reading, writing and speaking).

* CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation, actively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attained.

* Minimum 2 years of progressive auditing experience in a CPA firm.

* Thorough understanding of GAAP, auditing standards (e.g., PCAOB), and other relevant regulations.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

* Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective client interactions and report writing.

* Leadership capabilities and experience in supervising and mentoring junior auditors.

* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines.

* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
