Server & Cloud Services Manager (Remote, CST required)

This is a full time position paying between 135-140k plus benefits. It is a remote role in the Central United States, but will require up to 20% travel to Data center locations. This role will manage 1 direct report from day 1, and is expected to manage 2-3 additional engineers as they are hired. The role is expected to grow over time in the area of management with the goal of becoming a Director in the future.
The Server & Cloud Services Manager will oversee our organization's server infrastructure and cloud services. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in VMWare, Veeam, Windows Server, Linux, Azure, AWS, Active Directory, Office 365, co-lo data centers as well as disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Strong organizational, project management and people management skills are required to be successful in this position.
Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers running on VMWare and Hyper-V environments.
Lead and manage server and cloud infrastructure projects with effective project management and leadership skills.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions utilizing Veeam Backup & Replication or similar technologies.
Oversee cloud services on platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Office 365, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Lead and manage cloud-based Telephony platforms such as Ring Central, Mitel and FlexIP ensuring it is meeting business needs with optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux-based systems, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
Lead and manage Storage Area Networks, monitoring storage performance and capacity, troubleshooting storage-related issues, and performing necessary upgrades.
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, system configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
Proactively monitor server and cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to server and cloud services, recommending, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to develop and implement server and cloud-related projects and initiatives.
Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to monitor performance, track progress on the completion of work duties and responsibilities and discuss successes and challenges.
Develop employees within their roles via coaching, counseling, and disciplining when appropriate.

Adhere to established policies, procedures, agreements, and deadlines.
Act as thoughtful stewards of the company and its resources.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other members of the team.
Up to 20% travel may be required to execute assigned activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing server infrastructure and cloud services in a complex IT environment.
Expertise in VMWare vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
Expertise implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably with Veeam Backup & Replication.
Expertise implementing, managing and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Proficiency in implementing, tuning, and troubleshooting Storage Area Networks.
Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, Remote Desktop Services and Office 365 services, including provisioning, configuration, and management.
Strong understanding of Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy, and LDAP integration.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
Experience working with cloud-based phones systems such as Ring Central or Mitel is a plus.
Experience supporting IBM ISeries Systems (AS/400) is a plus.
