Description: Job Summary:

A full-time researcher (Ph.D.) with experience in designing, managing and executing health services research studies. Knowledge of health care systems and/or managed care is a plus. The successful candidate will identify researchable questions relevant to the current vision and business imperatives of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Inc. and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, conceptualize and design approaches to test these hypotheses, and prepare applications to extramural funders to support the studies. Proven skills in study design, implementation, statistical analysis and manuscript preparation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Identify research questions & design studies.

Write competitive grant proposals for funding.

Oversee implementation of protocols & guide work.

Stay on budget & advise.

Write publishable manuscripts.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum four (4) years of scientific investigation work.

Education

Ph.D. in Epidemiology, public health or social sciences or eight (8) years of experience in a directly related field.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of statistical methodology and analysis.

Proficiency in SAS software - e.g. ability to guide programmer & validate output data.

Strong data management capabilities using large administrative data sets.
