**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:**

**Manage donor complications arising from the donation process.**

**Provide timely, accurate, and helpful answers to donors and staff regarding donor eligibility, complaints, and concerns.**

**Communicate directly with donors to ensure proper care and resolution of complications.**

**Ask probing questions to ensure the facts of the case are known and to provide correct care.**

**Manage donor complication cases to resolution and timely closure.**

**Perform medical director/designee review and final quality review for donor complication cases.**

**Identify, control, and retrieve suspect products (includes gaining control, product retrieval, consignee notification, tracking responses from consignees, case review, and managing cases through closure). Investigate discrepancies in donor records.**

**Correct, update, and verify changes to donor records to ensure appropriate entry and confidential handling of donor data.**

**Identify and control impacted suspect products resulting from changes.**

**Monitor security to ensure only authorized personnel has access to confidential donor records.**

**Prepare and provide reports regarding donor complication cases as required.**

**Perform all necessary tasks according to procedure and within established time frames.**

**Perform other related duties as necessary to maintain the team workflow.**

**_Key Responsibilities_**

Respond to and provide appropriate donor care to blood donors who have suffered an injury or had a reaction during or following a blood donation. Performs MD designee review and final quality evaluation of donor complication cases. Identifies need to gain control of components from donors with certain complications that could affect recipient safety. May answer questions regarding donor eligibility and customer concerns.

Maintain Blood Services records in accordance with ARCBS directives and FDA, state and federal regulations. Research records in order to retrieve requested information. Work in a collaborative team environment in order to meet operational objectives while advancing donor and recipient safety.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations.

**_Hourly rate starts at $23.00 - Plus Shift Differential_**

**_Shift Hours_** **:**

**_Tuesday - Saturday 3pm-11:30pm_**

**_WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:_**

**Provide appropriate care for donors reporting complications from their donation.**

**Take appropriate and timely product action in response to additional information provided.**

**WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:**

**Qualifications**

**Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Medical Laboratory Professional (MT or MLT) is required.**

**Minimum one year of related experience in patient care, blood collections, or patient testing is required.**

**Prior blood banking or similar customer service experience preferred.**

**Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to probe donors to elicit a complete and accurate health history is required.**

**Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment is required.**
