This is a fully onsite position in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize BIM software (such as Revit and Navisworks) to design and model HVAC systems for construction projects.
Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed HVAC plans, layouts, and schematics that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements in all HVAC designs.
Conduct clash detection and coordination with other trades to resolve conflicts and optimize system integration.
Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and material schedules for HVAC components.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BIM and HVAC design.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a BIM Designer specializing in HVAC duct work, with proficiency in BIM360, Revit and Navisworks.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and design standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC design and construction.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
