Director for Administrative & Economic Development Business Services

Job Summary:
Provide effective fiscal management for the departments served by Admin and Econ Dev Business Services. Responsible for overseeing and managing accounting, accounts payable, and student billing functions. Assist Executive Director with budgets, departmental financial status, and special projects. Essential Duties:
Provide oversight and support to Accounting and Student Billing functions within the department.
Monitor and track cost center balances for departments served by Admin & Econ Dev Business Services.
Assist the Executive Director in the annual budget process for the departments served by Admin & Econ Dev Business Services.
Monitor College Park Retail leases to include proper rent/CAM/Tax & Insurance, as well as annual reconciliation of taxes collected and paid to TAD.
Monitor completion of annual capital equipment inventory for the division.
Reconcile and monitor Chartwell's Guaranteed Royalty payments for accuracy.
Recruit, select, train, supervise, and evaluate support staff.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to effective operations.
Performs other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting with seven (7) years of accounting experience or the equivalent experience.
Expert budgeting experience.
Prior supervisory experience.
Professional level experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Proven customer-relations skills or the equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting.
Experience supervising accounts payable and general accounting.
Knowledge of fund accounting.
University or other government related experience.
