Department of Genetics, LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans ( LSUHSC -NO) is seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to conduct basic and translational research on Breast Cancer.Under the broad oversight of a faculty member, the Staff Scientist will be expected to perform independent or team-based science research. Incumbent will design, organize, and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases design new protocols; prepare and submit manuscripts and grant applications, and present data in lab meetings, seminars, and national scientific meetings; assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory; participate in the training, supervision, and guidance of junior technicians, students, and postdoctoral fellows.
