**Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Azure Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of various IT systems and technologies, with specific experience in Azure, Active Directory, Intune, VMware, and Storage systems. This role requires someone who is not an expert in any one area but has solid administrative skills across these technologies and can contribute to the smooth operation and optimization of our IT environment. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Azure Engineering & Administration:** - Provide general administration of Azure, including Azure AD, MFA, and SSO. - Implement best practices for group creation and manage internal questions about groups. - Assist with moving internal groups and policies from on-premises to Azure. - Support Azure VM and networking tasks as needed. 2. **Active Directory & Intune:** - Administer both Azure AD and on-premises AD. - Oversee Intune administration, including migrating GPOs from on-premises to Azure and relocating security groups. - Clean up and reorganize existing AD structures and groups to streamline operations. 3. **VMware Administration:** - Perform day-to-day VMware administration tasks, including spinning up VMs and troubleshooting issues. - Ensure efficient operation of VMs, including snapshot management. - Collaborate on automation projects to enhance efficiency. 4. **Storage Administration:** - Administer SAN/NAS devices, understanding the pros and cons of different configurations. - Support the transition to vSAN from EMC storage solutions. - Maintain and optimize storage systems to ensure reliable and efficient data access. 5. **Basic Networking Knowledge:** - Apply fundamental networking principles to support IT infrastructure. - Troubleshoot basic network issues and assist with network configuration tasks. 6. **Automation and Scripting:** - Utilize tools like SolarWinds, Netwrix, and PowerAutomate to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency. - Convert existing scripts to more robust solutions using modern automation tools. 7. **Windows Server Management:** - Manage Windows server environments, including patching and security tool deployment (e.g., Rapid7, CrowdStrike). - Ensure server environments are secure and up-to-date. 8. **Identity and Access Management (IAM):** - Administer IAM solutions such as Duo and Delinea for password management. - Plan and implement the transition to alternative authentication methods as needed. **Qualifications:** - Proven experience with Azure administration and related services. - Strong understanding of Active Directory, both on-premises and Azure AD. - Experience with Intune administration and group policy migration. - Solid VMware administration skills, including VM setup and troubleshooting. - Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage systems and vSAN. - Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills. - Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerAutomate, SolarWinds). - Experience with Windows server management and security tools. - Basic understanding of IAM principles and tools. **Trade-offs:** - The candidate does not need to be an expert in any specific area but should have a well-rounded knowledge base and strong administrative skills. - The role emphasizes practical, day-to-day administration and clean-up rather than high-level engineering or architecture. **Why Join Us:** - Competitive salary range of $135,000 - $150,000. - Opportunity to work with a variety of cutting-edge technologies. - A dynamic work environment with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization. - Collaborative team culture with opportunities for professional growth and development.
