I am currently working with an industry leading Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions company who are looking for a Head of Pricing to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to help change the course of the business and help grow the Pricing function. This position would be based 3 days per week in the Dallas office and is paying up to $300,000 + bonus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review commercial and personal rates for assigned programs.
Prepare rate proposals and related exhibits.
Conduct classification level and segmentation analyses.
Perform reserve analyses and quarterly profit reviews.
Communicate with regulatory authorities and management.
Prepare internal and external communications.
Assist in maintaining and servicing financial models.
Support Operating Unit leaders and their teams.
Stay updated on industry and actuarial developments.
Monitor industry trends in frequency as well as severity and investigate material differences between external and internal trends.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience in Pricing for Commercial P&C Insurance with Aviation being a big plus.
Advanced skills in Excel, Visual Basic, Access, SQL, and Word.
Full or Nearly Qualified Actuary.
Ability to recommend and lead changes to enhance business profitability.
Ability to monitor business processes and identify strengths and weaknesses.
Proficiency in developing independent analyses to solve business-related problems.
Advanced knowledge of databases, data extraction, and insurance terminology.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work flexibly in a team environment.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, along with financial reporting experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for conveying technical work to non-technical people.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to define and lead projects.
