Financial Lines Senior Underwriter
Essential Job Functions:
* Responsible for pursuing new business and managing an existing book of renewal business in our Management Liability portfolio focusing on privately held and nonprofit companies; which includes Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Crime coverage lines.* Underwrite, rate, and service new and renewal submissions and participate in client meetings as required.
* Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships.
* Negotiate with brokers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.
* Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable
Requirements:
* 3-6 years of Private and/or Nonprofit Company D&O underwriting experience.* Experience and relationships with Financial Lines brokers in both Chicagoland and Texas markets .* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Detail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracy
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
* Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
* Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and similar applications
