Job Description
Participate in all phases of application development projects including feasibility, evaluation, project estimation, requirements recommendations, functional specification, technical design, testing planning and execution, implementation planning and turn over to production.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
Work with Sr. Developers and management to choose appropriate technologies with which to build applications based on requirements; review technology selection with manager and other team members.
Collaborate with end-users to understand and document requirements, involving IS resources where needed.
Work with manager to build design documents including application overview, user interface, reports, fields, database, etc., as necessary; review design document with end-users and obtain sign-off.
Develop applications efficiently to fulfill project requirements in an expedient manner; design logic to deliver appropriate functionality; create, maintain and implement source code.
Assist manager to develop a test plan and testing execution with QA team (or end-users) as needed; develop implementation plan and work with end-users/IS to move application to production.
Work with manager to build Project Plan by estimating time required to plan and build application; adhere to plan in conducting project.
Respond to escalated support calls from help desk and users, participate in weekly staff meetings, train clients on in-house applications; work with trainers to develop training programs.
Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: At least 3+ years' experience in programming and database design.
Proven track record of application development in a PC/Windows/networked environment.
Must have programming and analytical skills with knowledge of structured programming techniques, rapid application development methodologies and event driven programming and relational database design.
Experience in developing applications using the current OS/application development tool set.
Knowledge of Microsoft development technologies (C#, Visual Studio, ASP .NET, WebForms, SQL Server, Web API/REST Services), SharePoint Development, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery required. Knowledge of MVC, .NET Core, AngularJS/Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, or responsive design a plus.
Experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications with Microsoft Azure
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Ability to convey thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and verbal form.
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives or activities, and effectively make judgments in prioritizing and time allocation in a high-pressure environment.
Familiar with secure coding practices a plus.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree preferred.
IT certifications a plus.
Estimated salary range is $130,000 - $140,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
