We have an exciting 3-month contract opportunity for a skilled Image Processing Engineer specializing in IVUS/OCT integration with 3D angio models. This remote position offers a unique chance to contribute to innovative medical solutions from anywhere in the world.

About the Company: ComKardia Inc. is a cutting-edge medical technology (MedTech) startup on a mission to revolutionize cardiovascular therapies globally through tailored computational technologies. As a rapidly expanding player in the MedTech sector, ComKardia focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance coronary artery disease (CAD) interventions, specifically percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Our intelligent application integrates geometrical data and blockage characteristics from medical imaging to reconstruct coronary arteries in real time, creating digital twins and providing cognitive computing support for interventional cardiologists.

Position: Image Processing Engineer - Integrate IVUS/OCT Materials to 3D Artery Model Location: Remote

Employment Type: Contract (3 months), length of contract might be extended.

Responsibilities: Perform precise image registration of IVUS/OCT sequences to correct heart motion during imaging.

Reconstruct material meshes using IVUS/OCT segmentation labels to ensure accurate representation of interested materials.

Match anatomical markers between angiography-derived artery models and IVUS/OCT material meshes.

Determine starting points on artery models for IVUS/OCT data, aiding in chronological alignment during analysis.

Map IVUS/OCT material meshes onto 3D artery models, ensuring spatial fidelity and alignment with angiography geometry.

Collaborate closely with software developers, imaging specialists, and clinicians to integrate solutions into cardiovascular analysis platforms.

Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Imaging, or related field.

Expertise in medical image processing, specifically integrating IVUS/OCT data with artery models.

Proficiency in image registration, segmentation algorithms, and 3D mesh reconstruction.

Strong C++ programming skills.

Experience with medical imaging software (e.g., ITK, VTK, 3D Slicer) and version control (e.g., Git).

Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and pathology is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, clinically impactful solutions.
