The Technical Support Engineer is the expert on the products that managers the calls that comes through the technical support hotline through the dispatch team. The focus is the customer, which could be a homeowner or distributor and the focus is the product—electrical controls and LV products.

**You will make impact with the following responsibilities:**

+ Performs product support to customers remotely via phone, e-mail, and other forms of communication.

+ Completes on-site and in-house troubleshooting for complex products and other related products to customers.

+ Performs in active programs to increase customer satisfaction.

+ Performs in communicating product knowledge to different levels of understanding.

+ Completes available training for new product and upgrades and strives to prepare to use training to understand and communicate knowledge to customers as they relate to product support.

+ Ability to enthusiastically take ownership of job responsibilities in both communication and administrative requirements and to meet individual and team KPI goals.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 3 plus years of experience in support of electrical products including circuit protection and controls.

+ BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering degree or related field.

+ Must be comfortable working after hours if needed.

+ Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Knowledgeable in electrical power distribution, electrical controls, and industrial communication.

+ Candidate must have a strong understanding of items posed by parties in the electrical industry, Responsibilities will include but not limited to; interpreting operations and maintenance manuals, and effectively bring wiring, troubleshooting and application solutions to customers over the phone or via email.

+ Candidate should also have strong communication and administration skills, good work ethic, and be a consummate team player.

+ Prefer knowledge in circuit protection, electrical control products, power distribution, however will consider knowledge in power monitoring, industrial communication and networking.

+ Candidate will be expected to provide a high level of technical phone support on multiple product categories to both internal and external customers.

+ Expectation will be to demonstrate broad knowledge in field of expertise after completion of product training and assignments. Training could be from, manuals, Business Unit presentations or peers.

+ Removed line.

+ Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.

+ A degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

+ Efficient administrative skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Self-motivated, team oriented and collaborative.
