Job Summary:
As a prep cook at the offsite kitchen this role prepares and packages food menu items to send to the various shops according to standards and recipes. This includes both the daily food menu as well as “Grab N Go” items. This role also assists the OSK manager with inventory and maintaining clean work environment.
Daily Tasks and Projects :
· Prep food for menu items
· Prepare and package “Grab N Go” items for delivery to shops
· Help with inventory control
· Maintain a clean work environment
· Organize produce and goods in the walk-in
· Load van for delivery
· Help unload deliveries from purveyors
Job Qualifications:
Strong work ethic
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling
Attention to detail and quality control
Basic knife skills
Basic knowledge of produce, kitchen operations, health and safety
Required Education, Certification, or Experience:
Kitchen or food experience
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting at $14/hour, based on experience
Opportunity to participate in company benefits with qualifying hours (health, dental, vision, etc.)
Reports to: Commissary Kitchen Manager
FLSA status : Non-exempt
