About the team:
The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Menlo Park, CA , Seattle, WA, or New York, NY with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management.
The Equities Team’s mission is to make Robinhood the best place to invest in equities. This includes building first-class tools for managing your portfolio, researching investments, placing trades, and more, all while delivering the safest and most accessible investing experience possible. The U.S. Stock Markets are one of the best tools for wealth creation in the world, making this mission crucial to democratizing finance for all.
The Equities team is a full stack product engineering team owning the core trading surfaces in the app. As an engineer on the team you will be directly responsible for improving our trading products used by millions of DAUs and shipping entirely new products within our space - a few recent examples include 24 Hour Market, Stock Screeners, and Advanced Charts.
As an engineer on the Equities team, you will also be an active member of our broader Android community helping expand Robinhood’s mobile experience for our customers. Our Android community is extremely tight knit! We have weekly syncs and frequent tech talks. Come join us!
What you’ll do day-to-day:
Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale
Build smooth, stable, and elegant products with Kotlin and the newest Android APIs
Own features from inception to design, implementation, and launch
Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers, and Data Engineers
About you:
At least 5 years of professional Android development experience
Proficiency with Java and Kotlin
Motivation to improve Robinhood’s app and codebase to ensure the highest quality for our customers
Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers
Experience leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and managing technical projects
Excellent communication skills and passion for solving technical challenges
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable

The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
US Zone 1: $157000 - $185000
US Zone 2: $139000 - $163000
US Zone 3: $122000 - $144000
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
