What We Need
FLEETCOR is seeking Data Scientist. The position will be located in FLEETCOR’s Atlanta headquarters in Buckhead, GA. You will be part of the Global Fleet Data Science team, supporting Fleetcor’s lines of businesses across several regions including US, UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities and make recommendations for the use of advanced analytics in relevant projects, build, and own machine learning models to drive revenue creation/sales performance.

As a Data Scientist you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Exploring and extracting data from multiple sources and interrogate it to discover trends and patterns, creating meaningful insights
Researching, developing, and deploying machine learning models that have a business impact
Maintaining and improving the machine learning pipelines, processes and products
Leading strategic advanced analytics projects across several Lines of Business
Independently performing sophisticated data analytics in a variety of environments using structured and unstructured data
Working with other Data Scientists, Engineers BI and business stakeholders to deliver models and insights that improve business outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience on the whole life cycle of model building for solving real-world complex problems.
Data Analysis techniques, EDA, Data Visualization to effectively communicate to stakeholders, clarify requirements and make effective suggestions.
Experience in Time Series Forecasting /Tree based models/and linear models.
Very good proficiency in SQL coding, and reporting ability via Tableau or similar BI tool
Solid python programming skills coupled with demonstrable experience using data science packages (numpy, pandas, sklearn, etc.)
A MS in STEM field plus 4+ years delivering value through data in a commercial environment
Confident articulating the business value of data science projects to internal stakeholders
Proven history of bringing machine learning models from prototype to production
A self-starter, results-driven individual with strong integrity
PhD in a quantitative field and three or more years of industry experience
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience working in an agile environment, within a self-organised team
Experience with AWS cloud architecture (Redshift, Sagemaker, etc)
Experience in Credit/Risk related Projects
Familiarity with modern software development practices (Git, JIRA, SageMaker, MLops)
