Carter Maddox are partnered with one of the world's largest Solar OEM's who are looking to expand further across the North American Market. Their world renowned inverter products have 100's of GW's of capacity installed and they have the capability to manufacture multiple GW's annually. With that in mind they are on the hunt for a talented Field Service Technician.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform as a lead on complex field engineering assignments for renewable energy projects
Perform and/or lead Preventive Maintenance projects as needed
Perform a variety of engineering assignment involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing and maintenance
Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and testing of solar hardware and its components in the field.
Perform and/or troubleshooting in your region assigned to investigate solar plant issues.
Provide feedback to the engineering team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvements
Lead upgrade projects (software and hardware) in the field
Create Field Service procedures
Research alternative components that can be used in the field
Take the lead in some projects such as upgrades or retrofit as well as commissioning
Minimum Requirements:
5 plus years of overall experience in engineering
Experience working with BESS and Solar Projects
Must possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skills
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
