Job Description
The ideal candidate for Superintendent will be responsible for managing a jobsite on a daily basis. The ability to navigate, read, understand blueprints and specifications conveying the discipline to adhere to these contract documents. Must have the ability to communicate well with subcontractors, architects, clients, and vendors. Detailed organizational skills are a must.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities on the jobsite.
Communicating daily with Project Management, Clients, Inspectors, Landlords, Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors.
Implement safety and quality guidelines. Conduct safety meetings.
Draft RFI’s and track Subcontractor submittals to Architects.
Submit daily reports, project photos, and updates of the project.
Ability to participate in estimating efforts, when called upon to do so. Vast knowledge and understanding of blueprints are mandatory.
Produce project duration schedules and 3-week look ahead schedules.
Resolve onsite issues.
Ability to travel to projects and the physical demands of walking a project, climbing ladders, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management or 6 years minimum equivalent experience
Must have detailed organizational skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Project Scheduling software
Knowledge of Bluebeam and Sage 300 software
OSHA Certificate
Comm General Contractor / Superintendent / Hospitality Construction Experience Preferred
