**General Summary:**

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a deep knowledge of advanced C++. You will play a crucial role in developing the machine learning compiler and runtime firmware for Qualcomm’s best-in-class accelerator, as well as contributing to the development of virtual prototypes used to test this firmware before actual products are available. You’ll work closely with a geographically distributed team to develop new features at the cutting edge of on-device machine learning execution.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Collaborate with software architects and machine learning researchers to design and implement new features for the machine learning compiler and runtime firmware.

+ Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.

+ Debug and troubleshoot issues related to the runtime firmware.

+ Contribute to the development of a modern C++ project which uses extensive template metaprogramming techniques.

+ Contribute to the development of virtual prototypes to enable the testing of new Neural Signal Processing hardware features.

+ Work independently and in a self-directed manner, while also collaborating effectively with remote team members.

**Qualifications:**

+ At least 5 years of experience in software development

+ Strong knowledge of advanced C++ (C++17 or later), including concurrent programming and template metaprogramming.

+ Experience developing for embedded systems.

+ Experience with virtual prototype frameworks such as QEMU or SystemC

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote team members.

+ Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and compiler development is a plus.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.

**Pay range:**

$174,000.00 - $261,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
