Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Settlement Coordinator to join our team, specializing in negotiating settlements for medical services rendered to clients of personal injury plaintiff attorneys. This role requires in-depth knowledge of personal injury case management process and experience working within a plaintiff law firm environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and negotiate settlements for medical services provided to clients of personal injury plaintiff attorneys.
Review medical bills and documentation to assess accuracy and relevance to the case.
Analyze medical liens or similar deferred payment agreements and negotiate resolutions in accordance with legal and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other law firm staff to understand case specifics and strategize optimal negotiation outcomes.
Work with accounting team to ensure timely deposit of agreed upon settlement amounts.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal strongly preferred.
At least 2 years of experience working within a personal injury plaintiff law firm.
Demonstrated success in negotiating medical bill settlements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with attorneys and law firm staff.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess medical bills and documentation.
Salesforce experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in legal research and understanding of personal injury litigation processes.
