Compliance Senior Manager

Overview

A leading banking service provider is looking to add a Compliance Manager to their team. They are looking for an experienced compliance manager to ensure internal compliance policies are maintained and to efficiently support the regulatory requirements of our banking partners. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of evolving regulatory compliance laws within the financial services industry. This role involves leading compliance efforts, managing policies, and effectively transferring regulatory knowledge to both the compliance team and relevant business units.

Responsibilities

Monitor current compliance policies and ensure adherence to applicable laws.

Advise and train team members and business units on relevant laws and regulations to eliminate ambiguity and minimize compliance risks.

Stay proficient in the ever-changing landscape of federal and state compliance and regulatory laws in the financial industry.

Report to and collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and legal team.

Maintain control systems to identify, log, and manage deviations from policies and procedures.

Manage and respond to internal, external, and bank audits.

Lead a team of 6-8 compliance professionals while working closely with in-house and external counsel, bank partners, and reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

3-5 years of prior experience in the banking, consumer finance, or financial services industry as a compliance manager.

Background in the credit card industry or second-look financing is a plus.

Highly organized and self-motivated.

Driven to meet objectives with a creative approach to problem-solving.

Accountable, with strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) across all levels of the organization, bank partners, third parties, and customers.

Previous experience as a compliance manager or in a similar role.

Proficiency in financial services industry trends, laws, and regulations.

CRCM or other compliance certifications are preferred.
