Key Responsibilities:

Design Expert: Transform business challenges into design opportunities, using your visual expertise to create solutions that are as effective as they are beautiful. Serve as creative lead for primary initiatives (squads) and/or marquee projects, including launches, events, and brand campaigns.

Brand System-Builder: Architect durable, scalable brand systems that are as consistent as they are compelling, ensuring our Klaviyo brand sings in harmony across all customer touchpoints.

Multichannel Maestro: Juggle a variety of formats and channels, from digital to print, social to experiential/event, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence no matter where our audiences encounter us.

Mentorship & Development: Through continued examination and exploration of design/creative trends, inspire, educate and collaborate with team members, contractors, and agency partners, providing guidance, feedback to help them grow and flourish within and as a part of our creative ecosystem.

About you: Experienced in Efficiency: A proven track record of working quickly, leading design teams and/or large-scale projects, while identifying and closing gaps within the design process to create efficiencies and higher quality work

Visionary Thinking: The ability to see the big picture and the fine details, balancing innovative ideas with practical execution. Knows when and how to flex a brand system to help us show up big, while scaling effectively.

Problem-Solving Prowess: Uses design to solve complex problems, turning abstract ideas into tangible, impactful solutions. Translates the brief into thoughtful creative work that's rooted in strategy.

Customer-first Mentality: You invest in understanding who you're designing for (our customers) while fostering meaningful relationships with Marketing and other Klaviyo colleagues to deliver remarkable work together.

Brand Savvy: Deep experience in building and maintaining durable brand systems that are both flexible and consistent.

Multiformat Mastery: Comfort and expertise in designing for a variety of platforms, ensuring a seamless brand experience across all mediums.

Proven and Continued Leadership: While this role will be an individual contributor at hire, experience in managing team members and a desire to do so is strongly preferred as our team evolves to meet business needs while fostering career growth. A natural leader and mentor will complete the ideal profile for this role.

Required Skills/Abilities: 10+ yrs experience, with AD/ACD background, working at advertising agencies, design studios and/or in-house teams

Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Google Workspace; some familiarity with Canva

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work closely with copy, UX design and producers to ensure brand consistency across channels.

Able to collaborate, build relationships, and drive results

A flexible multi-tasker who can handle a multitude of different responsibilities at one time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Able to function well in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Able to work independently on a day-to-day basis with limited guidance on new initiatives, within established processes and frameworks

Has a positive, adaptive attitude

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.

Base Pay Range For US Locations:

$144,000-$216,000 USD
