Job Description:
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect II. Deploying and implementing network segmentation policies using the Akamai segmentation platform; Leading planning, installation, and integration in diverse IT environments (e.g. virtual, physical, container, on-prem, public, hybrid, Windows, Linux, and Unix); Identifying network problems and working closely with Support and Engineering teams to quickly resolve client issues and drive customer post-sales satisfaction; Working with customers throughout a delivery project life cycle from project management and architecture design through installation, configuration, and documentation; Deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting software or networking equipment; and Delivering advanced professional services for network products including customizations, training, expansions, configurations, and optimizations. Required Qualification:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications and Network Engineering, or Telecommunications Systems Management, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Wireshark, tcpdump, MTR, Iperf, curl, netcat, AWS, BGP, VLAN, IPSec, DNS, DHCP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, and TLS/SS.
Compensation:
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $135,886 - $154,614/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
