Marketing Events Manager

The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of market-facing conferences or sponsored events on behalf of Integration Appliance, Inc. Working under the Director of Marketing Events, this role requires a collaborative, client service mindset as well as emotional intelligence, self-motivation, a strong sense of accountability, and intellectual curiosity about the professional and financial services sectors.
Successful candidates are responsible for the following:
Researching all aspects of events (venues, timing, housing, catering, transportation, entertainment, billing, decorations, communications, RSVPS, room blocks, room set up, etc.), as necessary.
Managing logistics for assigned marketing events (tradeshows, social events, round tables) by proactively scheduling planning calls with key stakeholders and creating show books or project plans.
Collaborating with Field Marketing team on product messaging and presence at events
Ensuring brand compliance on all onsite collateral, including exhibit booth (where applicable)
Selecting SWAG inventory for events and managing shipping & printing needs (when appropriate)
Working with in-house Creative Services team on signage, presentation templates, name badges, etc.
Performing routine analysis of conference registrations through in-house marketing software
Tracking individual event budgets (including forecast and actual spend)
Representing Integration Appliance, Inc. on-site at events, as necessary
Skills & Experience:
At least 3-5 years’ event management experience
Experience working with business leaders and key clients
Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
Ability to travel, as required
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree with preference for liberal arts, marketing, communications, or related field
Experience planning multiple high-level, logistically complicated events simultaneously
Experience with vendor contract negotiations, particularly hotels, restaurants, and service providers
Experience with content development and speaker management
Competencies:
Highly capable and able to work closely and collaboratively within a team
Excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills (one-on-one, in-person, virtual)
Ability to develop professional relationships with junior and senior colleagues, clients, and business executives
Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
Excellent organizational and time management skills
