**Job Summary****AECOM** is actively seeking an Environmental Economist with expertise in natural capital accounting for immediate full-time permanent employment in the Nature-based Solutions and Climate Resilience Practice in northern California or Maine (additional flexible work locations will be considered). We’re looking for someone who is committed to tackling environmental and sustainability challenges, as well as knowledge of relevant environmental and sustainability policy, guidance, and best practice more generally.You’ll be involved in research and analysis, combining desk studies with occasional visits to client offices and project sites, and delivering projects for public, private and third sector organizations across a range of sectors including water, energy, agriculture, forestry, and transport. The team works across all aspects of the natural capital agenda including natural capital accounting and assessment, biodiversity and environmental net gain analysis, rewilding, nature-based solutions and markets and payments for ecosystem services.
