Information Technology Manager (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Information Technology Manager in San Diego, CA . In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented DevOps engineers in delivery of high-quality software products for our on-premise, cloud hosted and cloud native products.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, supporting employee and first-level manager activities across digital software application development. Support team in hiring, mentorship, guidance and career development opportunities.
Provide software configuration management leadership and governance around software configuration (for example, versioning strategy, security scans, naming standards etc.).
Manage team to build, package and deliver software applications to deploy in Cloud infrastructure and customer infrastructure.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
People Management experience
Strong Cloud background, specifically in Azure and Azure Managed Services
Software Release Management
Dev Ops: CI/CD pipelines
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
Manage, monitor and resolve security vulnerabilities using tools like SonarQube
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Virtualization
Cloud computing
Automation Technology
Java and J2EE technologies
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $140,000 - $150,000

Experience in technical management of cloud applications and tools (CICD pipelines), acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.
Specifically, management of team that builds, packages and delivers software applications to deploy in Cloud infrastructure and customer infrastructure (DevOps manager).
Providing software configuration management leadership and governance around software configuration (for eg, versioning strategy, security scans, naming standards etc)
Application will benefit from this knowledge/skill-sets; Deep knowledge of GOLDesp technology stack for different deployment models: on-premise customers, Azure Gov cloud, sovereign cloud and deploy cloud-hosted solution in customer datacenter (not cloud)
Knowledge of GOLDesp products and dev environments
Strong Azure background
Deep knowledge on Oracle and Postgres databases and GOLDesp schema
Responsibilities will include; Application owner for GOLDesp products and dev environment in various Boeing systems (for ESATS). Review, monitor and update compliance dashboards and keep policies updated.
Supports and provides technical guidance on sales proposals. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches in support of various sales pursuits and proposals on deployment options, architecture stack and target hardware.
Leads effort on tech debt roadmap (especially of 3rd party libraries) and provides input on the tech roadmap that is published every quarter
Relationship with ITBP and Tapestry IT to resolve infrastructure issues
Work with Supplier Management on software licenses (requires a manager)
Setup Boeing accounts for Purchased Services in various Boeing systems
Work with deployment team on deployment / installation of GOLDesp for all deployment scenarios.
Support production calls from customer on infrastructure-related issues
Provide SMEs on onboarding of operations management team for GOLDesp cloud-hosted deployment
Engage with EEC, MBF, IAM teams on approvals, authentication / authorization solutions for deploying GOLDesp in Azure Gov Cloud
Monitor Azure costs and provide weekly status reports to management
