Our client is actively seeking an HR Generalist to join their expanding team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to oversee and enhance HR operations, providing comprehensive support and collaboration across various aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary HR contact for all US-based employees, offering guidance and assistance on matters relating to benefits administration, compliance, HRIS utilization, timekeeping, payroll processing, and more
Execute system transactions within their HRIS platform, Rippling, managing employment changes such as salary adjustments, promotions, terminations, and consistently update internal HR records and documentation
Spearhead new hire and ongoing benefits administration, fostering close relationships with benefits brokers and providers to facilitate the distribution of relevant materials, communicate updates to employees, conduct informative sessions, and implement changes within designated timelines
Take ownership of US payroll processing, collaborating closely with Finance & Accounting teams to ensure the accurate and punctual processing of biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls, while ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations
Facilitate the employee offboarding process, meticulously documenting all terminations within their system to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
Ensure consistent communication and administration of company policies, procedures, and programs
Contribute to and lead various special projects within the HR department as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
A minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience
Thorough understanding of employment and compliance laws, particularly in California
Proven experience in startup environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable navigating through ambiguity and proposing effective solutions
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding integrity
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational prowess, problem-solving aptitude, critical thinking abilities, and adeptness at multitasking
Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments
Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams
Proficiency in G Suite or similar software; experience with Rippling or multiple HRIS platforms is a plus
