Job Summary Maximus Federal is seeking a Cloud Principal Architect to lead and drive the automation and deployment of Hybrid Cloud platforms and processes. The Cloud Principal Architect will work as a key player in the creation of our CI/CD pipeline frameworks for the federal cloud-based services. The Cloud Principal Architect will work within the Amazon and Azure cloud environments to build repeatable frameworks, tools, and services. The Cloud Principal Architect will also collaborate with Operations, Security, Networking, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams and architects on solution design, hands-on implementation, and process automation. The Cloud Principal Architect must also develop and manage relationships and maintain healthy collaboration with key external technology partners and 3rd party vendors. The ideal candidate will have led through a modernization in the past and served as a key technical resource through the lifecycle beyond just planning and conception.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Establish technology strategy, architecture and plans for the project modernization effort.

•Understands the organizational and project direction, goals, and the technology eco system to determine how architecture frameworks should be implemented.

•Enable and facilitate creation of cloud services by providing architecture and design leadership across multiple cloud infrastructure platforms

•Develop DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as code frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar native cloud service provider tools

•Interface with engineering and other cloud teams across the organization to establish and enforce best practices and security standards with manual and auto-remediation, on non-compliant cloud resources.

•Provides direction on implementing feasible, cost-effective solutions to the overall Solution architecture using cloud services and products considering both functional and non-functional requirements.

•Collaborates and coordinates across the operation teams to develop strategies to fulfill security and performance requirements and assess effectiveness of the solutions.

•Performs and leads POC (proof of concept) development and recommendation to adopt to ever changing technology trends

•Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with more than 10 years of relevant experience or master’s degree (Preferred).

•At least 5 years of Cloud platform Engineering experience including architecting cloud solutions at an enterprise level.

•Experience of building products & services in “As a Service” models (e.g., SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) on leading industry platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

•Development experience with programming/scripting languages: Java/J2EE, Python, JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS, Angular), Web Services

•Experience with Agile/continuous integration/DevSecOps

•CI/CD pipeline implementation and usage – leveraging tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Tower, Veracode, CAST, and test automation tools (IBM RFT, Selenium, etc.).

•Ability to influence peers and superiors (technical and business) the strategic direction of overall solution

•Must be able to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment of competing and alternating priorities

•Experience working with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift and Jaeger is highly desired

•Position Requires Amazon Solution Architect certification.

•AWS Professional Architect Certification is highly desired.

•U.S. Citizen , with eligibility to obtain Security Clearance

Education and Experience Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversee the automation processes for daily activities, build activities, new feature and functionality with public and private cloud

- Interact with other team members and groups within the IT organization

- Help enforce the standards for server builds and services deployed in AWS and the private cloud by the cloud solutions teams

- Perform other duties assigned by leadership

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.

- 10-12 years of related experience required.

- AWS and/or Azure Certification(s) desired
