As an Automation Engineer, your role will encompass designing, developing, prototyping, and commissioning new products used in the manufacturing of transceivers. You will collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to develop equipment control and translate system specifications and requirements into verification strategies and performance testing. Leading a team of technicians on machine development and building activities, you will also work closely with vendors to benchmark and utilize cutting-edge automation technology.

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Carlsbad, California.
Work Environment
This position requires occasional travel to Guadalajara, Mexico (2-4 times per year) for project support and onsite installation, with each trip lasting up to 10 days. The role is primarily onsite in Carlsbad, working closely with a team within the Automation Engineering group. Each engineer has their own office, and while the manager offers some flexibility for remote work, presence in the office is generally required for machine work and group meetings. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible start and end times, ensuring project timelines are met.
