About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Capital Markets to lead and own all aspects of the capital markets function. This role is pivotal in diversifying the company's funding model to lower the cost of funds and improve execution across the economic cycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for forward flow whole loan negotiations and sales, bank partner relationships, and will work closely with the CFO on wholesale funding strategy. A key aspect of the role is to monitor market dynamics, drive efficiency, and partner with the credit risk and lending teams to shape the loan portfolio. The Head of Capital Markets will also be expected to build and maintain executive-level relationships with investment banks and institutional investors.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in capital markets, with a strong background in ABS transactions, whole loan sales, and/or forward flow deals. A deep understanding of the capital markets, an existing network of relationships, and experience in a highly regulated industry are essential. The company values individuals with a growth mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a commitment to the mission of helping students achieve their financial goals. Experience in the student loan asset class and a background in a Fintech company are considered advantageous.
