LifeWire Benefits:

Most positions at LifeWire offer a hybrid work schedule, allowing staff to work from home and from our offices in Bellevue. We provide flexibility for staff while prioritizing support and services to survivors.

LifeWire pays all insurance premiums for staff working .75 FTE (30 hours/week) or more. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision, a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program for all household members, AD&D and Life insurance, a Flexible Healthcare Spending Account, and a free ORCA pass for regional transit in the Puget Sound.

Employees who have worked at least 1000 hours in their first year of employment become eligible to participate in LifeWire’s 401k plan with employer matching up to 2%.

LifeWire’s Survivor Services Advocates support primarily adult survivors of domestic violence in East/North King County. The Survivor Services Advocate maintains a caseload of adult survivors and provides virtual, mobile, on-the-phone, and in-person advocacy. They assist survivors with crisis intervention and safety planning, offer community education about domestic violence, (intimate partner violence), assist them in navigating the civil and criminal legal systems, connect them to other service providers, and share community resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide survivor-driven and trauma-informed advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence. Requires a particular focus on supporting adult survivors and providing family advocacy as needed.

Remain knowledgeable of service and agency guidelines and procedures to make informed and independent decisions in emergencies and daily activities.

Work closely and cooperatively in a team setting with all staff, interns, donors, and volunteers.

Maintain organized shared spaces and personal work environment.

Participate in system data collection in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.

Conduct outcome measurement and use applicable evaluation tools.

Complete necessary paperwork and statistical information.

Appropriately spend program funds and consistently track the expenditures as required.

Participate in continuing education, community meetings, and internal meetings.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of LifeWire’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Work experience will substitute for education.

Two or more years of experience in crisis intervention and domestic violence advocacy is preferred.

Multilingual/cultural is preferred. Fluency to provide services in one of the following languages: Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean, or Farsi.

Knowledge of domestic violence, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and the effects on children and teens.

Experience, skill, and willingness to work with a culturally diverse team and participants.

Position: Survivor Advocacy Services Manager

LifeWire’s Advocates provide culturally and linguistically relevant advocacy and education to survivors of domestic violence, coordination with the criminal and civil legal systems and other services such as weekly support groups for adult survivors, children, and youth, housing advocacy, and referrals to other service agencies in our community.

LifeWire’s Survivor Advocacy Services Manager leads the Survivor Advocacy Services team to ensure survivors receive support through individual advocacy, referrals, support groups, targeted advocacy (e.g., youth and children) and domestic violence education. The Manager ensures LifeWire has the policies, procedures, staffing, training and practices in place to provide excellent services while meeting LifeWire’s contractual requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the Survivor Advocacy Services team provides survivor-driven and trauma-informed services in alignment with LifeWire’s vision, mission, and service philosophy and in accordance with funding requirements.

Actively manage the team using a person-centered approach and ensure team members are trained, supervised and accountable. Develop team members to work well independently and as part of a team. Enact corrective actions for performance when appropriate.

Communicate weekly program status updates to Services Director for support in coordination of response and planning.

Provide onsite support at the CSC a minimum of twice a week and as needed in support of survivors.

Provide mobile advocacy support to team and survivors as needed in support of survivor needs.

Oversee our Mental Health Services Program.

Drive program development initiatives to ensure survivor services consistently surpass standards for support, efficiency, sustainability, and adhere to trauma-informed and survivor-centered approaches

Supervise internal LifeWire systems advocacy.

Engage with and manage LifeWire’s DV HopeLine Partnership and support development of internal/external referral structure.

Coordinate the delivery of support groups and specialized advocacy (e.g., CSO, CDVRT, legal, youth and children).

Lead in the development, implementation and management of survivor-driven services, advocacy practices, organizational procedure, data collection and entry, and other topics relevant to effective job performance.

Track and monitor funds supporting Survivor Advocacy Services; ensuring funds are spent appropriately and as required by contract guidelines.

Monitor and review accuracy and timeliness of service data. Conduct outcome measurement and use applicable evaluation tools.

Plan and co-lead service trainings for LifeWire staff and participate in volunteer training.

Supervise interns assigned to the Survivor Advocacy Services team.

Represent LifeWire in community meetings as a strong, professional leader, and provide community education on the issues of domestic violence as requested.

Escalate team performance concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

Foster a work environment of trust and transparency.

Support Advocates and Managers to support immediate survivor needs.

Rotate on-call and after-hours shifts to address emergencies and immediate survivor needs, ensuring swift, trauma-informed responses and effective support during critical situations.

Collaborate closely with the Legal Manager to provide essential support for critical responses to systems advocacy needs for law enforcement partners.

Work closely and cooperatively in a team setting with managers.

Maintain organized shared spaces and personal work environment.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of LifeWire’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual fluency and cultural proficiency highly preferred

Five or more years of experience in crisis intervention and domestic violence advocacy preferred.

LICSW or significant related experience desired; relevant experience will substitute for education.

Five or more years of supervisory and/or program management, program development experience preferred.

Strong leadership skills, demonstrated creative problem solving, and thoughtfulness in stressful situations.

Experience, skill and willingness to work with a culturally diverse team and participants.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to create strong teams and work as a part of one.

LifeWire’s Bilingual Homelessness Services Advocate 3 provides experienced advocacy and support to the survivors and their children who are residing in our emergency shelter “My Sister’s Home” and our transitional housing program “My Friend’s Place.” This position is responsible for working with our Joint Component RRH Program as well as working onsite at our confidential location as part of the Homelessness Services team.

Homelessness Services Advocates and Manager have scheduled weekly and rotating weekend onsite schedules for staff coverage in support of survivors and their families at our Bellevue program location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide experienced and knowledgeable survivor-driven and trauma-informed advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence residing in our emergency shelter and transitional housing program.

Requires multilingual and multicultural skill set, with a focus on the intersection between domestic violence, homelessness, and chemical dependency.

Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with partner and referral service providers.

Remain knowledgeable of service and agency guidelines and procedures to make informed and independent decisions in emergencies and daily activities.

Regularly meet with participants in both homelessness services.

Assist in the coordination and expansion of family services for adults and children with the support of Homelessness Services Manager.

Facilitate support groups, education groups and other meetings with survivors.

Support participants with transportation needs, either in agency vehicles or other means.

Organize and prep units for move-ins or move-outs in the homelessness services programs.

Work closely and cooperatively in a team setting with all staff, interns, donors and volunteers.

Participate in system data collection in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.

Conduct outcome measurement and use applicable evaluation tools.

Complete necessary paperwork and statistical information.

Appropriately spend program funds and consistently track the expenditures as required.

Conduct Health and Safety inspections.

Assist in maintaining the housing facility in compliance with fire and health code regulations.

Assist survivors in all LifeWire Services (including Survivor Advocacy, Housing Stability, Mental Health, and Homelessness Services) by contributing to supportive activities including support groups, prevention activities and the like.

Required to support DVHopeline calls as needed.

Must provide onsite presence at least two days per week, along with rotating weekend coverage. Increases in onsite presence may be required based on the services needs of the families served and staffing levels.

Support survivors through mobile advocacy on days not scheduled for onsite coverage.

Maintain organized shared spaces and personal work environment.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of LifeWire’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field; work experience will substitute for education.

Four or more years’ experience in crisis intervention and intimate partner violence advocacy.

Experience providing multilingual direct services to women and children in a residential setting preferred.

Multilingual/cultural fluency is required for this position as LifeWire works to maintain and expand the reach of direct services. Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Vietnamese, and Korean is highly desirable.

Experience working with individuals experiencing chemical dependency or mental health concerns preferred.

Skill to safely and regularly drive LifeWire vehicles (including a 15-passenger van).
