Position Core Profile:

The Regional Business Developer is responsible for driving new Commercial sales at SavATree. This individual will cultivate new prospect relationships, onboard them as clients, and partner with our branch locations to deliver high quality work for them. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful Commercial business development in the green industry and a focus on over-delivering for clients.

The right candidate excels in:

Industry knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the tree and/or landscaping industry. Proven understanding of what commercial clients are seeking in partnerships.

Drive for results: Self-starter that brings the ability to “unblock” themselves and navigate ambiguity to bring new partnerships to life.

Relationship building: Strong network of industry contacts and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.

What we’ll expect from you:

Develop a book of commercial sales for regional clients. Clients may have a single commercial location or may be seeking help for multiple locations.

Understand client pain points, determine budget, and close the sale. Partner with local branch arborists to support scoping work and ensuring work is priced consistent with company guidelines.

Develop strong relationships internally with branch operations – ensuring they have what they need to effectively deliver for client and vice versa.

Prospect and build your own lead flow of new business opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to, reaching out to prospective clients, such as property developers, commercial property managers, and large scale corporations to pitch SavATree’s core services of tree care, plant health care and lawn care.

Learn the services we offer across general tree care, plant health care, lawn care, holiday lighting, and more to ensure we serve full breadth of client needs and maximize sales opportunities.

Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to identify new business opportunities and effectively position the company's offerings.

This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.

Experience and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a sales or business development role within the green industry or a closely related industry

Previous exposure in high-growth environment is desired

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong business acumen, enabling effective budget management and forecasting.

Ability to pivot between strategic and tactical responsibilities as needed. Must have a no-task-too-small mindset.

Meeting and exceeding sales budget and profitability.

Customer satisfaction.

Safety of team on work performed.

Travel and Availability Disclosure:

Expectation is 30-40% travel to client sites.

Flexibility and willingness to work non-standard business hours and days as needed required.

Compensation :

Ranges from $110,000 - $140,000+ per year, including bonus potential. SavATree offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
