Some of your responsibilities as a Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineer include the following:
Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex project in various market sectors including Science & Technology, Academic, Healthcare, and Commercial.
Communicate design intent and coordination requirements to owners, architects, consultants and other Vanderweil disciplines.
Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications, and construction documents for high performance building systems.
Lead mechanical/HVAC teams of designers throughout all phases of a project assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards, client criteria and good engineering practice.
Construction phase services include attending meetings with the client and construction teams, reviewing contractor submittals, responding to requests for information, visiting the construction site to observe construction progress and document site visit observations in formal site visit reports and punch lists.
Essential Skills & Requirements
7+ years of experience engineering and designing Mechanical/HVAC systems in high performance facilities.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects
Background in engineering chilled water, hot water, steam and air handling plants as well as their distribution to serve facilities in the Science and Technology, Commercial, Healthcare and Academic markets.
Working knowledge of building codes and industry standards/guidelines
Professional Engineering license is a plus

The compensation that we expect to pay for this position is commensurate with years of experience, professional licensure and education and may range from $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus benefits.
