About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data Science to lead its data science teams and drive the strategic vision for data science, business analytics, and data engineering functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the holistic data strategy for business operations, including leading a global team across business insights, data science, and data engineering. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in building and managing high-performing data teams, fostering a data-driven culture, and championing data governance best practices. The VP will be expected to partner with senior leadership to identify business challenges and opportunities and to translate them into actionable, data-driven solutions. Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strong focus on innovation in data and analytics are essential.Applicants for the Vice President, Data Science role at the company should have at least 15 years of experience in data science or data engineering leadership, with expertise in advanced analytics techniques and machine learning algorithms. The role demands an individual with an in-depth understanding of modern data governance, security, and compliance, and a proficiency in designing and implementing data infrastructure to support large-scale data workloads. The VP will also be responsible for driving the development and implementation of advanced analytics models to extract valuable insights that propel the business forward. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills are a must, as is a related technical degree. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and a solid understanding of SaaS business processes and industry trends.
