Tesla's Autopilot Tools team builds apps and services used in the development, debugging, and ongoing validation of the Autopilot software. Autopilot is at the forefront of self-driving, and we are constantly inventing new ways to solve its core problems. The tooling needed to analyze, or visualize, the outputs of these new solutions or to automate the new development workflows (improving engineering velocity) are critical to our success.
**Responsibilities:**
Improve and maintain the frontends and backends of our Autopilot tools.
Work with controls, planning, and machine learning engineers to build tooling tailored to their workflows.
Debug issues with our live system, identify the root causes, and fix them.
Build metrics and monitor performance + reliability of our systems.
**Requirements:**
BS in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields or practical software engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Python.
Experience with data visualization in Python.
Experience building modern web applications using React (Three.js nice to have).
Experience with AWS services (nice to have).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
