Your Future Team
Hightower's communications department is focused on driving awareness and engagement throughout the Hightower community as well as managing our public brand presence. As head of the department, this position requires an interest in and understanding of financial advisors and wealth management clients.
Under the direction of the Chief Growth Officer, this position will actively work with leaders throughout the organization to deliver an impactful communications experience to Hightower's corporate employees and its 140 financial advisory teams. In addition, this individual will act as Hightower's external spokesperson.
What You'll Do
Develop and champion communications guidelines; work with all departments to establish communication plans for major initiatives and write/edit all communications for a single voice/tone
Establish and lead a monthly communications meeting with stakeholders to track and plan communications effectively (including planning for town hall, etc.)
Review, edit, and maintain corporate website
Collaborate on M&A releases, corporate releases
Oversee annual events that deliver an exceptional experience and innovative thought leadership, while showcasing Hightower resources to advisory businesses; oversee live and virtual events advisory firms to host/share with clients
Manage and mentor junior team members, and nurture employee growth
Work side-by-side with the various Hightower departments to ensure alignment
Guide thought leadership across Hightower for advisors and wealth management clients
What You'll Bring Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to innovate and accomplish "big picture" goals
15+ years of proven experience; financial services experience preferred (RIA/advisory experience a plus)
Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment, and as an engaged leader
Effective judgment in reacting and responding to advisor and home office requests
Ability to write in different styles/formats across print, digital and video channels
Strong project management skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or relevant field
