SITE MANAGER
Seeking a strong leader with an action-oriented mindset who can evaluate individual and project performance while anticipating changes performed on location (OCONUS).The role of the Site Manager is to perform site management tasks related to construction on government sites. This role will report to the Senior Program Manager for the project and will involve a high level of collaboration working closely with local points of contact at the facility, the prime contractor, the government customers, foreign and domestic, and other subcontractors and suppliers.
The successful candidate must have the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, including vendors, clients, and others. The candidate must always maintain health and safety requirements and quality control of the site and will document all project activities to ensure all project stakeholders remain informed throughout the project field effort. This position will require onsite travel for 6 months per year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
Serves as the onsite lead for the program manager, ensuring program commitments are met
Leads wide range of entry-level to highly experienced on-site team
Maintains awareness of key technologies and the companys competitive position
Daily coordination with internal team and contracted tasks, including: engineering, safety, inspectors, major tools and equipment, and suppliers
Safety work instructions are given to each team daily
Maintain schedule and project scope; report to the Sr Program Manager and other stakeholders
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the planned field activities.
Assist in the evaluation of construction bids and provide recommendations.
Coordinate and schedule required subcontractors for each project.
Review approved budget against actual job costs and production factors with the Program Manager
Interface with third parties related to construction activities.
Responsible for cost and schedule execution and reporting of construction activities including preparing and maintaining accurate daily notes, daily reports, and field logs.
All other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience in supervising remediation and construction projects.
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, schematics and other construction documents.
Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
Ability to work through challenging issues with client team to develop mutually acceptable solutions.
Responsible for the scope of work and identifying change order conditions
Assist the management team in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices.
Perform Health and Safety related activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Active Secret Clearance required; must be eligible for a TS clearance
Bachelors degree (4-years, accredited) in engineering, logistics, construction management or equivalent with minimum of 8 12 years of experience in logistics or construction management with the department of defense. Alternatively, an experienced person with 10 years or more in related government or defense construction quality management work or logistics
Strong verbal and written communication
Must be highly organized.
Demonstrated ability to carry out work independently.
Must be able to read drawings and explain them to the customer when requested
Experience with MS Office Products, including Excel, Word, Project
The job entails physical demands while performing the duties of this job.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs and climb stairs without aid.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has some supervisory responsibilities
PREFERENCES
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations as they pertain to subcontractor oversight.
Experience working with construction including but not limited to Site work, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Controls and Security
Experience with EM-385-1-1
Past experience with power projects and energy resilience
