Summary of Position: The Product Coordinator will work
closely with the design team throughout the development process (from sourcing
of fabric and trim to tracking, receipt and distribution of salesman samples).
This person must have a sense of urgency and able to multi-task effectively
while maintaining development reports with updated status for all
products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work with the design teams to help explain
their designs, and any construction issues to customers and the factory
· Review prototypes ensuring design, fit, and
construction were properly followed before sending to customer for final approval
· Spec prototypes ensuring they were made within
tolerance
· Rework/Update tech packs, print files, and/or
applique guides if any construction issues, style changes, or factory requested
changes come up
· Communicate to factory on all changes to the
prototype
· Communicate to factory new block
patterns/style, and fit changes
· Communicate to factory on fabric,
construction, material, patterning, fit, etc.
· Approve all items for Product
· File approvals from customers, communication
approvals with factory, pictures of fittings, pictures of proto and PP samples,
and proto comments
· Evaluate returned items for any problems, and
convey through comments solutions to the factory
· Work with sales team on customer comments of
prototypes and communicating with factory before Product can start
· Organize and maintain inventory of TOPs,
Protos, and Samples
· Send weekly status reports to all sales reps
Qualifications:
· Highly organized individual
· Highly detail-oriented individual
· High communication skills, with an understanding
of how to explain thoughts in a quick and easy way for Chinese factory to
understand
· Technical understanding of construction and
fit
· Sourcing knowledge for fabrications
· Team player with a positive work attitude
