Service Technician

Job Summary

Sir Walter Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automobile issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry and is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension systems
• Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Communicate with Service Advisors to understand and address the Customers concerns
• Use diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to accurately identify and resolve issues
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance services performed
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and training opportunities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prefer a Minimum of 2 years experience as a Service Technician in the auto industry
• Technical certification in automotive repair or equivalent experience preferred but not required
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
