Senior Project Manager - Water Resources

Position Purpose
To grow key relationships for our municipal CIP and Water Resources projects within the DFW metro area for new and existing clients. To develop and execute capital stormwater projects including technical design, financial management, City/State/Federal approvals, and construction, while exceeding client expectations. To manage and mentor assigned staff across McAdams’s DFW Metro.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
Lead a production team, provide resource management, resolve complex technical problems,
coach, train, and mentor design and CAD professionals, and work collaboratively with all team
members on all aspects of project execution
Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed
effectively
Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all projects and work performed by group staff
Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viable
Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firm
Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans, with focus in the DFW market
Responsible for the profitable operation of the Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas, Water Resources group
Qualifications
Four-year college degree (B.S.) in engineering
PE required
7+ years of related experience and/or training
Highly motivated to develop the Water Resources sector within the DFW market
Possess technical expertise in site civil engineering as it applies to CIP planning, stormwater and natural resources
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to carry a project through the design process independently and within a team framework
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationships
Proven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectations
