JOB SUMMARY
The Analytics Team powers data analytics, data science, and data engineering supporting all initiatives and business units at NZXT. We’re looking for a director to help build and shape how our team partners with business units across the company to provide thoughtful strategic analysis, insights, reporting, and automation. This leader will work to support and grow the analytics and data engineering ICs working under their purview to build data driven solutions to a variety of business problems. Our team is scrappy, so this role would need to have the technical and problem-solving skills as well as the business acumen to translate data into insights to drive business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute the analytics strategy, roadmap, and operating plan, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and efficient resource allocation.
Leading the Data Analytics, Data Scientist, and Data Engineering team.
Designing the right team structure to ensure coverage and support for all business units.
Establishing strong relationships with business partners to understand the problems they are trying to solve and work to implement the best-suited analytics solutions.
Proposing effective solutions to critical business analytics problems.
Effectively communicating with and persuading a wide variety of business partners and executives.
Serve as an analytics evangelist, developing training programs and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, provide mentorship and professional development opportunities, and nurture the growth of the Analytics team members.
Contributing to a strong analytics culture that embraces objectivity and the scientific method.
Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Familiarity with the gaming and hardware industries, as well as e-commerce and retail platforms (e.g., Amazon, Best Buy), or the ability to quickly acquire deep expertise in these domains.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing analytics teams and driving strategic initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.
8+ years of experience in analytics or data science with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing and mentoring analytics, data science, and data engineering teams.
Excellent business acumen and ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable business recommendations.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on talent development, coaching, and fostering a positive team culture.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Proficiency in SQL, programming languages (e.g., Python, R), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Strong technical background with expertise in data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics capabilities.
Experience with web analytics (Google, Adobe, Amplitude), and digital/retail media analytics platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, Amazon).
Familiarity with conversion rate optimization, testing, multi-touch attribution, MMM, and incrementality measurement.
Experience working with ETL tools and overseeing Data Engineers to build an outstanding modern data stack.
Experience with big data platforms, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
Ability to recognize analytics needs across the organization and hire against those needs.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and quickly evolving environment. COMPENSATION
The estimated base range for this role is: $170,000 - $190,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, internal equity and alignment with market data. We offer a wide range of benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement and paid time off. This position is bonus eligible. All employees at NZXT receive equity as part of their compensation package.
