The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing unique written, graphic, and video content for social media, email, and our blog based off of the strategic marketing plans for all programs, certificates, degrees and non-degree programs. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for executing plans and marketing and communication initiatives under the direction of the Director of Enrollment and Marketing for the Rabb School of Continuing Studies.
A successful individual in this role is an effective communicator and team-player who is highly organized, well-versed in social media and other digital marketing tools, and comfortable with creating and editing videos.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: (45%)
Collaborate with all Rabb/Brandeis Online initiatives to identify and create content development opportunities to strengthen and elevate communication with all stakeholders.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and edit blog content.
Support the enrollment funnel by creating communications to nurture prospective students in Slate (internal CRM).
Support email communications to students, faculty, and advisory board members as needed.
With direction, maintain/update the different programs website.
Make website optimizations for SEO and UX.
Update/maintain print and digital collateral.
Video Editing: (30%)
Work closely with key stakeholders to repurpose existing recordings into new content.
Use graphics, special effects, and dialogue to creatively position old media to the department's new needs.
Assemble raw footage into cohesive content that can be used on social media, the website, and email marketing, then adapt videos so they are optimized for individual platforms.
Social Media: (15%)
Write content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Use of graphic templates and video increase awareness and engagement.
Engage daily and monitor each platform.
Event Coordination: (10%)
Support the communication plans for events and conferences.
Assist the communication with staff for event timelines, send reminders, and set-up meetings.
Attend events and document the presence of degree and non-degree programs.
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
0-3 years professional experience in an office setting with at least 1 year strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency using social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
Familiarity with the Adobe Suite or Canva.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship building.
Limited evening and weekend work related to event support required; limited travel possible.
